Police arrested Moin Abdullah, son of former lawmaker and Sheikh Hasina's cousin Abul Hasnat Abdullah, early on Saturday from the Gulshan area of the city.
A team from the Detective Branch (DB) of police rounded up Moin in the Gulshan-2 area around 3:30 am, reports BSS.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Media and Public Relations for the DB, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, confirmed the arrest.
Moin is accused of possessing explosive substances and has several other cases filed against him under the Penal Code in Barishal.
