A group of six snatchers took off with Tk 11.85 lakh from a Nestlé company car in Dhaka's Mohammadpur on Sunday morning.
According to Mohammad Saiful Islam, the Mohammadpur area accountant for Nestlé, the incident occurred around 9:45am in the Mohammadpur Housing area while they were en route to a bank to deposit the money. The assailants stopped their vehicle, vandalised its side mirrors, and attacked him with locally made weapons before making off with Tk 11.85 lakh in cash and a Tk 17,000 cheque.
Inspector Md Atiq from Mohammadpur Police Station confirmed that the police were informed and are currently investigating the incident.
