Shaheed Abu Sayeed ranks 14th on merit list

The graduation results of Shaheed Abu Sayeed, an English department student at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, who was tragically killed during the anti-discrimination student movement, have been released. 

Sayeed secured a CGPA of 3.30 out of 4, placing 14th in the combined merit list.

The results were announced on Sunday (October 20) with the approval of the University's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Md Shaukat Ali.

While sharing the results, the Vice-Chancellor said, “Though we lost the talented student Abu Sayeed, his final exam results have been released. Out of 69 students, he ranked 14th in the merit list. We are proud of his achievements, but deeply saddened by his absence. May his soul rest in peace.”

Also present at the announcement were Professor Md Tajul Islam, Registrar-in-Charge, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance, Dr Md Elias, and Additional Controller of Examinations, Firozul Islam.
