The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Muhammad Faruk Khan, the former Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Faruk Khan, also a presidium member of the Awami League, was arrested from his residence in the cantonment area of Dhaka on Monday night.
Rezaul Karim Mallick, Additional Commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), stated that RAB arrested him and later handed him over to the DB police.
Faruk Khan was born on September 18, 1951, in Dhaka. He left his job in the military to get involved in Awami League politics and was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Gopalganj-1 constituency six times.
