A Sunamganj court has granted bail to former Planning Minister MA Mannan in a case over the attack on the protesters during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in the town.
The Sunamganj District and Sessions Judge’s Court passed the order on Wednesday (October 9), his lawyer Abdul Hamid told Jago News.
He said they prayed bail for MA Mannan as he is hospitalized after falling sick in prison.
“The court heard us and granted bail to him considering his age and illness,” he added.
However, lawyers for the plaintiff were absent during the bail hearing.
