HSC results on Oct 15

The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate, HSC, and its equivalent examinations will be published on October 15.

Tapan Kumar Sarker, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Monday (October 7).

“The work of making results is almost done. We proposed a few dates to the Ministry of Education to publish the results and the ministry fixed October 15,” he said.

The HSC and its equivalent examinations for 2024 began on June 30, with 14,50,790 examinees participating from 9,463 educational institutions across the country.

But the exams scheduled for July 18 were postponed due to the violence surrounding the quota reform protests. Further exams scheduled for July 21, 23, and 25 were also suspended as the situation worsened.

On August 20, the government decided to cancel the remaining exams, responding to the demands of the candidates.

On September 15, the Ministry of Education directed the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee to prepare the results of the HSC and its equivalent examinations based on students' Secondary School Certificate (SSC) scores, where exams were cancelled.

The ministry had outlined that for subjects where exams were conducted, the results will be based on the evaluation of answer scripts.

However, for the cancelled exams, results will be calculated using a subject mapping system, referencing the students' SSC scores.
