Agricultural Marketing Company Ltd (AMCL-PRAN), a publicly listed company, has been recognized by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) for exemplary corporate governance, transparency, and accountability.
The company won the 2023 ICSB award in the 'Food and Allied' category at a ceremony held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Saturday evening, said a press release.
Uzma Chowdhury, Director of Corporate Finance at PRAN-RFL Group, received the award from Finance and Commerce Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed.
Uzma Chowdhury said, “The private sector plays vital role in the development of our country’s economy. As a key stockholder in the sector, PRAN-RFL is committed to contributing to the economy by maintaining transparency and accountability. Awards like this will inspire us to continue our efforts.”
The ICSB honoured a total of 41 companies across 14 categories for their outstanding governance practices.
Special guests at the event included Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary of the Ministry of Finance; Md Selim Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce; and Md Abdur Rahman Khan, Secretary of the Internal Resources Division and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue.
