The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DMP, arrested Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, a former lawmaker from Bhola-4 constituency, in the capital’s Gulshan area on Tuesday.
He was arrested in a case filed with the Savar police station in Dhaka, Muhammad Talubur Rahman, deputy commissioner of DMP’s media and public relations wing, told Jago News.
Jakob was also former deputy minister of the Ministry of Environment and Forests.
