The interim government has formed a committee to receive recommendations on whether to increase the age limit for entering government jobs.
Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, informed this in a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday (September 30).
Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, former secretary and caretaker government adviser, is the convener of the committee while senior secretary of the Public Administration Ministry is the member secretary, he said.
The committee has been asked to submit a report within the next seven days, Mokhles said. “This committee will submit a report with recommendations after evaluating the overall matters on fixing a rational age limit for entering government jobs.”
