Rangamati district administration has decided to close the tourist spot Sajek for three days starting from Tuesday.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan revealed the decision after a meeting of the law and order committee held at the DC office this morning.
Talking to BSS, DC Mosharraf Hossain Khan said the local administration faced a lot of difficulty in ensuring safe return of the stranded tourists from Sajek. Considering the present law and order situation, the meeting decided to close the tourist spot for three days.
He urged all to remain alert to avert any conspiracy.
Dr Md Farhad Hossain, the superintendent of the district police, civil surgeon Dr Nuyen Khisha and additional deputy commissioner Md Motachem Billha, among others, were present at the meeting.
SP Farhad Hossain said action would be taken against the culprits involved in the recent violence in the district.
