Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been fined Tk 50 lakh for his involvement in share price manipulation, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
The decision to impose the fine was made during a BSEC commission meeting held on Tuesday (September 24), chaired by Khandkar Rashed Maqsood.
Shakib was found to have manipulated shares of Paramount Insurance, a company listed on the capital market.
