Khaleda gets bail in 10 cases

A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted bail to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in ten cases including eight subversive activities and a sedition one.

Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah granted Khaleda bail in the sedition case filed by a Supreme Court lawyer.

The court came up with the order after Khaleda surrendered before it seeking bail in the case. The court also accepted the charge against her.

Momtaz Uddin Ahmad Mehedi, a SC and member of the ruling Awami League`s central committee, filed the case against Khaleda for her remarks on the number of Liberation War martyrs.

Meanwhile, the court granted bail to Khaleda in eight arson attack cases filed with Draussalam Police Station.
