‘News on raising govt job age limit to 35 rumour’

Dr Md Mokhles ur Rahman, the senior secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, has termed rumour the news about extension of the upper age limit for entering government jobs to 35 years.

He said this in reply to a query from the reporters in a press conference on the submission of public servants’ assets accounts at the ministry on Sunday.

When Mokhles was asked about a news regarding increasing age limit for entering government jobs to 35 years, he said, “My answer is that don’t pay heed to rumour.”

Bangladesh Administrative Service Association, an organization of the administration cadre’s officials, on September 18 wrote to the Cabinet Division requesting it to raise the age limit.

Earlier on September 5, the association’s secretary general Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman sent a letter to the Cabinet Division to take measures in this regard.
