A Sunamganj court has sent former Planning Minister and Sunamganj-3 MP MA Mannan to jail.
Sunamganj Judicial Magistrate Farhan Sadique passed the order after the police produced him before the court, said lawyer Mashuk Alam.
The joint forces arrested Mannan from his house in Shantiganj upazila of the district on Thursday night.
He was apprehended in a case filed over the attack on students during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in the town.
