Govt appoints new VCs to 3 universities

The interim government has appointed new vice-chancellors to three more public universities – Bangladesh Agricultural University, Rabindra University, and Islamic Arabic University.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division issued separate notifications appointing them on Thursday (September 19).

Dr AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan has become the new vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University. He is a professor in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the university.

Dhaka University’s law professor Dr SM Hasan Talukder has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of Rabindra University, Sirajganj while Dr Md Shamsul Alam, a professor in the Department of Islamic Studies at DU, has been made the VC of Islamic Arabic University.
