Former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun was shown arrested on Thursday in another murder case filed with city’s Uttara East police station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M Arifur Rahman passed the order in presence of the accused as investigation officer of the case Inspector Sajal Chandra Paul filed a petition seeking to show him arrested in connection with murder of RMG worker Md Abdul Aziz, reports BSS.
Earlier, Mamun was brought to the court from the jail.
According to the case statement, garment worker Md Abdul Aziz was shot by police near Uttara House Building Finance Corporation area of the capital around 7am on August 5.
He was taken to a nearby hospital and later to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he died on August 7.
On September 3, Mamun was arrested from Uttara in a murder case.
He was also shown arrested in two more murder cases on Wednesday.
