The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed upward trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.After first 30 minutes of the day’s trading, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, stands at 4,812.06, gaining 25.87 points or 0.54 per cent, when the report was filed at 11:00am. The two other induces also opened higher. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips rose 11.02 points or 0.60 per cent to 1,835.94.The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 8.03 points or 0.68 per cent to reach at 1,183.50. DSE turnover stood at Tk450 million when the report was filed. Of the issues traded till then, 153 advanced, 48 declined and 40 remained unchanged. Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks till then with shares worth Tk 45 million changing hands followed by Al-Haj Textiles, Aman Feed, BSRM and Saif Powertec.The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index CSCX gaining 42.56 points to stand at 8,948.42, also at 11:00am. Of the issues traded till then, 57 gained, 26 declined and 4 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk22 million. -FE
