The academic activities of Rajshahi University (RU) will resume on Wednesday (September 11) following an unscheduled closure of around two months.
Prior to this, residential halls will be reopened on Tuesday.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy-making body of the university, held at the lounge of Vice-chancellor (VC) with VC Prof Abu Saleh Naquib in the chair on Sunday evening, reports BSS.
Accordingly, the departments will restart their scheduled classes and examinations simultaneously.
Apart from this, admission process in first-year honors classes in 2023-2024 academic years which remained suspended at present will resume within a shortest possible time.
Mentionable, the academic activities remained suspended since July 1 as the teachers had launched their work-absent programme to press home their demands for cancellation of pension policy.
