Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan may be playing a lawyer in his upcoming film ‘Pink’ but the actor says he hopes he never has to face a real court in life.‘I haven’t been inside a court room here (in India). I hope I never have to go to court. During the allegations of Bofors case, I did enter a court room in London to defend myself. And that’s the only time I saw a court,’ Bachchan told reporters here at the trailer launch of ‘Pink’.The 73-year-old megastar, who is sporting grey hair and beard, says he relied completely on the research done by the makers of ‘Pink’.‘I went by the research done by my writer and director. We had a recognised lawyer on sets to guide us, the way we spoke and all. We have tried to recreate court room scenes in the most natural way and it adds to the temperament of the film.‘I follow instructions of Shoojit (Sircar) when it comes to my look. My character is sad and disheartened in life. He stays opposite these three girls who face problem and I see what they are going through. I decide to do something.’The ‘Piku’ star mouths some hard-hitting lines in the trailer, which was launched today but Bachchan says he had no qualms in doing those scenes as they were important for the movie.‘If the lines are going to be supportive of the legal argument or track in the film, I felt it is important to say.It was justified to say it. It`s harsh, confrontational and embarrassing as those standing in witness box are not going to accept anything readily, reports PTI. ‘It’s the language that the lawyer takes to justify the event that has taken place in the film. It is harsh but true.’ According to Bachchan, the colour pink signifies women empowerment.‘The film is about women and their strength so we have kept the title ‘Pink’. Women should stand up for their rights. The film is about women,’ he says.
