Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain confirmed on Sunday that Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) this month, although his visit will be brief.
Speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Touhid mentioned that he would discuss Yunus's engagement at the UNGA with him. However, he noted that the exact date of the Chief Adviser's departure has not yet been finalised.
The Foreign Affairs Adviser also indicated that while there may be some meetings on the sidelines, the scope for such engagements will be limited due to Yunus's short stay in New York.
