Khelafat Majlis has presented some proposals, including the formation of a special tribunal to try former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, to the interim government.
A delegation of the party made the proposals during a dialogue with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house, Jamuna, on Saturday.
Khelafat Majlis Amir Mawlana Abdul Basit Azad, Secretary General Dr Ahmed Abdul Quader, Senior Nayeb-e-Amir Mawlana Shakhawat Hossain, Senior Joint Secretaries General advocate Zahangir Hossain, Muhammad Muntasir Ali and prof Kazi Minhazul Alam led the delegation.
The proposals include bringing back Sheikh Hasina soon and try her and her associates through forming a special tribunal; arrangments of long-term compensation and ensure good treatment for those killed and injured in the student-people movement; quick reformations to the country's all departments, including judiciary, administration, law enforcement agencies and election system; reevaluation of Sheikh Hasina-led government's all agreements signed with India and cancellation of all anti-state treaties; and withdrawal of all false cases filed against the opposition leaders and activists, including ones of Islamic parties or organisations, during the Sheikh Hasina regime.
