Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser to the interim government, will hold a meeting with various political parties on Saturday afternoon.
The meeting will begin at 3pm at the Chief Adviser’s Jamuna office and it will continue until 8pm.
BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and other parties were not invited to this meeting because they had met with Yunus on August 12. The Awami League and its 14-party allies were also not invited.
According to various sources, the Jatiya Party (JaPa) has been invited to this meeting, while the Left Democratic Alliance did not receive an invitation.
Earlier on Thursday, a delegation of BNP, led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, held a meeting with the Chief Advisor. The BNP, which demanded early elections, said that the Chief Adviser would hold a dialogue with political parties to outline the next elections.
Following the meeting, the Chief Adviser’s office announced that Dr. Yunus will hold a dialogue with various political parties on Saturday.
