The Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DMP, has imposed a ban on all kinds of meeting, rally, procession and demonstration near the Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus's official residence Jamuna and the Secretariat until further notice.
The DMP imposed the ban as per Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police
Ordinance to maintain public order amid the recent circumstances, a notice issued early Monday said.
Earlier, the members of Ansar locked into a clash with the students in front of
the Secretariat around 9:20 pm on Sunday, leaving at least 40 people injured.
Hasnat Abdullah, one of the key coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement, was critically injured in the clash.
He was taken to the One Stop Emergency Centre at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, DMCH.
DMCH police outpost in-charge inspector Bacchu Mia confirmed it.
