President Emmanuel Macron has pledged France's full support to Bangladesh's interim government under Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus.
In a message of congratulations to Yunus, Macron expressed eagerness to collaborate with the interim administration to strengthen bilateral relations.
Macron acknowledged the challenges facing Bangladesh during this transitional period and assured Yunus of France's unwavering support. "In this complex time for your country, please know that you can count on the full support of France," the French President said.
He wished Yunus success in navigating the upcoming challenges and emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance the bilateral relationship. Macron highlighted key areas of collaboration, including human rights, climate change adaptation, and poverty alleviation.
As Bangladesh embarks on a period of transition, Macron underscored the interim government's crucial role in preparing for democratic elections and fostering national reconciliation. He welcomed Yunus's efforts to address these goals and expressed hope for ongoing cooperation.
