The employees of Dhaka Metro Rail resumed their duties on Monday following the fall of the Awami League government. The authorities expressed hope to resume metro rail operations from August 25.
Ehsanul Haque, Senior Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, visited the Press Club Station and spoke with officials and employees. He instructed them to take necessary steps to quickly resume metro rail operations.
However, the operations of the Kazipara and Mirpur-10 metro stations will remain suspended due to the repair work, according to the Senior Secretary.
He also asked to take necessary steps to resume operations at these two stations.
MAN Siddique, Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) and other top officials from the ministry, were present during the visit.
Metro rail operations have been suspended since July 18 due to vandalism at two of its stations.
