Former water resources minister and Thakurgaon-1 MP Ramesh Chandra Sen was taken into DB custody on Friday night.

He was taken to the DB office from his residence around 11pm.

Local Awami League leaders said some DB police members went to his residence and took him to Thakurgaon. Gulfamul Islam Mondol, Officer-in-charge of Ruhea police station, was with them.

Anwarul Islam, Thakurgaon DB chief, said none of our team went to work today. He is not sure yet of the details.

In this connection, Gulfamul Islam Mondol, Officer-in-charge of Ruhea police station, said DB has taken him into custody, and we have cooperated with them.

However, he refused to say why he was detained.
