A case has been filed against 101 people, including Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and General Secretary Obaidul Quader, over the death of a teacher in Bogura.
Other accused include Bogura Awami League president Mojibur Rahman, general secretary Ragebul Ahsan, the district Juba League president Shubhashish Podder, general secretary Aminul Islam, the district Chhatra League president Sajeeb Saha, and general secretary Al Mahidul Islam.
Sekander Ali, father of the victim, Selim Hossain, 35, filed the case with the Sadar police station on Friday (August 16).
According to the case statement, the Awami League men killed Selim Hossain, a teacher and resident of Palikanda village under Pirob union in Shibganj upazila of the district, during the recent quota reform movement.
Abdul Baset, a lawyer for the victim, said Awami League men hacked and beat up Selim to death in the direction of Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader for participating in the peaceful movement by the students and public.
