The government has appointed Dr M Masrur Reaz as the new chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission for the next four years.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Finance Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
On Saturday (August 10), Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam stepped down as the chairman of BSEC after the fall of Sheikh Hasina-led government on August 5 in the face of mass uprising.
