Oil, gas protection movement convener Engineer Shahidullah dies

Engineer Sheikh Muhammad Shahidullah, convener of the movement to protect oil, gas, mineral resources, power and ports, has passed away. He aged 93 years.

He breathed his last early Friday (August 9) in the US, the National Committee for Protection of Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports, said in a statement.

Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah had been worked as one of the supporters of the left movement in Bangladesh and for this, endured repressions on different occasions.

He was the convener of the movement to protect oil, gas, mineral resources, power and ports for the national interests.
