The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will unveil an outline for an interim national government within the next 24 hours.
The platform, which spearheaded the student protests demanding quota reform, has also called for the immediate release of all individuals arrested during the demonstrations.
Nahid Islam, a movement coordinator, made the announcements at a press conference in Tejgaon, Dhaka on Monday. Emphasizing the need for continued vigilance, Islam urged students to remain on the streets to prevent any potential takeover by "friends of fascism."
The coordinator also demanded the release of all political prisoners within 24 hours and called for heightened security measures for minority communities. Islam appealed to media personnel to prioritize their own safety while covering the ongoing protests.
Warning of potential attempts to discredit the movement, Islam cautioned students against damaging public property. He stressed the importance of maintaining discipline while remaining steadfast in their demands.
