The Awami League’s Bandarban district unit office and the residence of former Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing came under attack in Bandarban on Monday afternoon.
People in the hill district town brought out jubilant processions following the news of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's escape from the country and after the processions, agitated ones torched the AL office and vandalised the former minister's residence.
Later, the army personnel brought the situation under control.
