The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has declared a single-point programme demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and all members of the cabinet.
The movement also called for the formation of a national government led by an individual acceptable to all.
Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the movement, announced the programme during a rally at the central Shaheed Minar on Saturday afternoon (August 3).
Nahid stated that an all-out non-cooperation movement would begin across the country on Sunday (August 4) in support of this one-point demand.
The Dhaka University campus witnessed the largest crowd of people in recent times. The campus turned into a sea of people rallying under the slogan, "One demand, resignation of the government."
Students waved flags and chanting for justice.
Residents of the capital took to the streets again on Sunday, responding to the call of the anti-discrimination student movement. From noon, people began gathering at the central Shaheed Minar, and the area is still overflowing with citizens from various classes and professions.
On the ground, thousands were seen marching towards Shaheed Minar, coming from different points like TSC, Doel Chattar, Dhaka Medical College, and Plassey.
