The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under all education boards have been postponed till August 10 due to the situation centering the quota reform movement.
A notice, signed by professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and also of the Dhaka Education Board confirmed the information, was issued in this regard on Thursday.
“The examinations under all education boards scheduled from August 4 have been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The postponed examinations will be held according to a new schedule from August 11,” the notice said.
“A new schedule for the postponed examinations will be notified later through a notification,” it added.
The HSC and equivalent examinations started on June 30 across the country. A total of 14,50,790 examinees sat for the examinations under eleven education boards including madrasa and technical education boards.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee later postponed examinations of all education boards scheduled for July 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 29, 31, and August 1.
