Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and opted to bat against Harmanpreet Kaur’s India in the first semi-final match of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Sri Lanka’s Dambulla on Friday.
India reached the semis by remaining unbeaten in the Group stage. In Group A, they defeated Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal.
On the other hand, Bangladesh lost their opening match against hosts Sri Lanka but bounced back with breezy wins over Malaysia and Thailand.
