The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has raised the price of gold by Tk 1,190 to Tk 1,20,081 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
It is the highest price of gold as of Sunday (July 14). Earlier, the highest price was Tk 1,19,638 per bhori.
According to the fresh prices, gold of 22-carat was hiked by Tk 1,190 to Tk 1,20,081 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 1,131 to Tk 1,14,622, 18-carat by Tk 968 to Tk 98,246, and gold of traditional method by Tk 805 to Tk 81,228 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting today, a press release said.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday (July 15).
