Four people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van at Banani area in Bogura early Tuesday.
The deceased are Jamal Hossain of Sirajganj, Shamim Hossain, Hridoy of Barishal and an unidentified woman.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue of the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Miladunnabi, Inspector of the hospital’s police outpost, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Quoting witnesses, the police officer said a Naogaon-bound bus of Fateh Ali Paribahan collided head-on with a covered van, leaving Hridoy and an unidentified woman dead on the spot and nine others injured. Later, Shamim died on the way to hospital and Jamal suffered injuries while undergoing treatment.
