The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 1,603 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Gold of 22-carat was hiked by Tk 1,603 to Tk 1,18,891 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 1,540 to Tk 1,13,491, 18-carat by Tk 1,318 to Tk 97,278, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,084 to Tk 80,423 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting on Sunday, a press release said.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday (July 7).
