Overall inflation has slightly decreased to 9.72 per cent in June, the last month of the just-concluded financial year, down from 9.89 per cent in May.
The general, food, and non-food sectors experienced a slight decline in inflation.
This information comes from the updated report published by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) on Sunday.
According to the report, food price inflation decreased to 10.42 per cent in June, down from 10.76 per cent in May. Non-food inflation stood at 9.15 per cent in June, a slight decrease from 9.19 per cent in May.
Additionally, house rent and the prices of furniture, household goods, medical services, transportation, and educational materials all decreased slightly in June.
