A court in Dhaka has placed Faisal Ali and Mostafizur Rahman, accused in the MP Anwarul Azim Anar murder case, on a six-day remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ataullah passed the order on Thursday after police had produced them before the court, seeking a 10-day remand for fair investigation.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted drives in different hills of Khagrachhari and Chattogram and arrested the two accused absconding.
On May 22, India's West Bengal police said Anwarul Azim Anar, a lawmaker from the Jhenaidah-4 constituency, was killed there.
On the same day, his daughter Mumtarin Ferdous Doreen lodged the case mentioned above with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, Dhaka in this connection.
