The government has postponed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations in Sylhet division until July 8 for the ongoing flood situation.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Education Ministry on Thursday.
Tapan Kumar Sarker, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this to Jago News this afternoon.
He said the educational institutions in Sylhet division are being used as shelters and considering the overall situation, the exams were postponed until July 8.
This year, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are scheduled to begin across the country on June 30.
