Dhaka south and north city corporations said they successfully completed the removal of all sacrificial animal waste from the respective corporation areas.
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) said that 100 percent of sacrificial animal waste has been disposed of within approximately 10 hours.
Abu Nasher, spokesperson of the DSCC, confirmed the matter.
Earlier, DSCC mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh announced the completion of the waste disposal within 24 hours.
According to the DSCC, they started the removal of waste at 2:00 pm on Monday and completed it at 12:15 am on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) said the disposal of all sacrificial animal waste was successfully completed within the previously declared six-hour timeframe.

According to a DNCC press release, it has completed the removal of all sacrificial animal wastes within the timeframe.
DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam expressed his gratitude to the cooperative efforts of the residents, stating that it was possible to dispose of all sacrificial animal waste in Dhaka north even before the scheduled deadline.
A total of 10,374 tonnes of waste was disposed of in over 2,101 trips in 10 zones under the DNCC.
