The crescent moon, which marks the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH-2024, was sighted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Thursday.
Therefore, Friday (June 7) will be the first day of the holy month, Arafat Day falls on June 15 and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on June 16, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
