BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the proposed national budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year will put all the burden on the common people.
Mentioning this budget is for looting, he said, "Expenditure is more than income in the so-called budget. It will put all the burden on the common people and increase bank and foreign loans."
Fakhrul remarked this in an immediate reaction to the proposed budget at the BNP chairperson's political office at Gulshan in the capital Dhaka on Thursday afternoon.

He said prices of everything will go up with the budget, and everyone knows about the theft in the power sector.
The BNP secretary general also said the entire budget is anti-Bangladesh and there is nothing for people. This budget is for mega corruption in the name of the mega project.
