Around Tk 41,407 crore has been proposed for the health sector in the proposed national budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The amount is 5.2 percent of the total budget and Tk 3,356 crore higher than that of the current financial year.
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali proposed this while presenting the proposed national budget of Tk 7,97,000 crore for FY 2024-25 at Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
The minister said Bangladesh gained outstanding success in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) regarding health.
