The government has fixed the prices of cow rawhide at Tk55-60 per square feet in Dhaka and Tk50-55 per square feet outside Dhaka for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims.
Per square feet of rawhide of castrated goats would be sold at Tk20-25 and those of female goats at Tk18-20.
Md Nasir Uddin Majumder, President of Bangladesh Finished Lather, Lather Goods and Footwear Exporters’ Association on Monday announced the prices of rawhides of sacrificial animals in presence of State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu at Secretariat.
The prices of rawhide of sacrificial cows were fixed at Tk 50-55 per sqft in the capital city and Tk 45-48 outside Dhaka during the last Eid festival.
Besides, the prices of castrated goat hide had been set at Tk 18-20 per sqft, while the price of female goat hide had been set at Tk 12-14 per sqft for the sacrificial animals nationwide.
