A court in Habiganj has sent the district unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) general secretary Md Zillur Rahman to jail in a case filed over torching a vehicle.
The court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Fakhrul Islam passed the order on Sunday after a hearing, the court inspector Kamrul Islam told Jago News.
Defence lawyer Afzal Hossain said Zillur Rahman was named in a case filed over torching a truck in 2 no. Pool Bypass Road area in the district town before the national election and in the lawsuit, the court sent him to jail today after he had surrendered before it.
