Chinese company to invest $22.92 million in BEPZA EZ

Chinese company Sanxin Accessories MFC BD Ltd is going to invest 22.92 million US dollars to set up an interlining & garments accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) located at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar, Mirsharai, Chattogram.

In the presence of the Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) signed an agreement with the company on Tuesday (May 21) at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka.

Mr Md Ashraful Kabir, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Ms Li Li, chairman of Sanxin Accessories MFC BD Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. This foreign owned company will produce Interlining, Lace, TC Pocketing/Printing, Granule and Hot Melt Adhesive Powder. Some 2346 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunities in this company.

BEPZA executive chairman thanked Sanxin Accessories MFC BD Ltd for choosing BEPZA EZ as their investment destination. He hoped that the company will start the construction of the factory as soon as possible and commence commercial production.

Among others, member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, executive director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, executive director (Enterprise Services) Md Khorshid Alam, project director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque and executive director (Public Relations) ASM Anwar Parvez along with representatives of the enterprise were present during the signing ceremony. -Press Release-
