Around 79.23 percent of students under the Comilla Education Board passed this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
It is 0.81 more than that of last year when the board witnessed a 78.42 percent pass rate.
Besides, 12,100 students under the board obtained GPA-5, and the number was 11,623 last year.
Dr Md Asaduzzaman, exam controller of Comilla Education Board, confirmed the matter to Jago News around 11 am on Sunday.
Some 1,79,325 examinees from 1,780 educational institutions of Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Chandpur, Brahmanbaria and Cumilla districts under the board participated in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations examinations.
