All the secondary schools, madrasas and technical institutions which were closed due to heat wave condition will reopen across the country on Saturday.
MA Khayer, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, confirmed the matter in a press release on Thursday afternoon.
“Classes will continue as usual in secondary level schools across the country from Saturday. Class activities will continue in all secondary level schools six days a week, until further notice,” the press release reads.
The schools and colleges were scheduled to open on April 21 after the end of Eid holidays but the closure was extended till April 27 due to sweltering heat across the country caused by heat wave.
The educational institutions reopened on April 28 although there was no remarkable change in the heat wave condition.
Later, the government extended the closure of primary and secondary level educational institutions till May 2 following a High Court order for keeping those shut.
