The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1,15,824 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
It is the highest price of gold as of Saturday (April 6). Earlier, the highest price was Tk 1,14,074 per bhori.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting today, a press release said.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 1,15,824 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 1,10,575, 18-carat Tk 94,770, and gold of traditional method Tk 78,965 respectively.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday (April 7).
